Korean Language Courses

The YMCA’s Korean language courses have over a half century of history. Here students can learn the four skills of “reading, listening, writing and speaking” from the basics up through applied use.

Japanese Language School

We foster practical Japanese language ability effective for educational advancement and employment through classes that recognize the importance of each individual person.

Korean Culture/Musical Instrument and Dance School

Feel the rhythm of the Korean people. We also have instrument rentals available for beginners.

Hotel, Conference Room, Hall

The hotel, conference room, and hall of the Korean YMCA in Japan can be used by anyone. We have a superb location right in the heart of Seoul, yet our prices are very reasonable.

The February 8th Independence Declaration Memorial Reference Room

Known as the fuse that led to the March First Independence Movement, the February 8th Independence Declaration was announced by Korean students in Tokyo at the Tokyo Korean YMCA (today’s Korean YMCA in Japan). Today, the YMCA has a reference room to commemorate the February 8th Independence Declaration.

Course Series and Seminars

The Korean YMCA in Japan holds continuing courses and seminars that aim for achieving reconciliation and co-existence between Japan and Korea and other Asian countries.

Palestine and the YMCA

On the occasion of its centennial in 2006, the Korean YMCA in Japan began an exchange relationship with the East Jerusalem YMCA in Palestine and today heads efforts to send participants to YMCA-sponsored programs there.
